The Wedding Day

Just so you know, this entry is going to have lots of pictures. We got over 500 photos from the photographer. I'll try and keep it limited here while still giving you a taste of the day...It was a beautiful wedding - a little hot (and you wouldn't believe how hot the skirt of my dress was!). But I was usually distracted enough that I could handle it!

Lots of people from the O-Rabble made it to the wedding. I was also happy to have Aunty Tina and Craig and Kate there.

The Z-Rabble all made it too.

M was the princess that day in my eyes. She chose the little tiara that she is wearing herself and she really loved being fancy.

Sharing the day with 2 grandmas.

We sent the kids home for a rest in between the temple and reception while we stopped at a few places for photos. This is one of my favourite shots.

M with Ethan who agreed to be our page boy. I love the expression! It's a little unpredictable having children involved in the whole wedding event, but they were both wonderful.

The wedding party: Corinne and Tara were my devoted bridesmaids. They were really supportive and helpful. Thank you! Luke was 007's best man and John his other groomsman.

The dutiful flower girl dropping petals...

The spread at the reception hall. We made CDs with music from the wedding with the guests' names on them as the placesetting. (For kids we did a goodie bag - much more exciting!)

Corinne did the flowers on the cake. They are live roses and it was her first time doing a cake (she did the bouquets too). She did such a brilliant job! She and Tara were up very late the night before getting the flowers ready - thank you again!

M performed a rendition of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." She had been telling me during our engagement that she wanted to sing at the wedding. I didn't think she'd go through with it but she did. She was very brave to perform a solo in front of 100 people! And it sounded great.

The night ended with the traditional "bridal waltz" (except for that we didn't waltz). After a few slow songs we picked up the pace. I had no idea that some of the kids in my family had such cool moves (Alex and Bailey - I'm thinking of you!).
