4th of July Parade

I've been in the US for 15 or so Independecne Days and this year was the first time I went to a parade. I've really never been fussed on that before. But we had some relatives over from Australia and decided it would be good for them, and Josh, and M to go to a parade. We had a good time. M loved the necklaces they threw out into the crowd and we all loved the salt water taffies they threw to the crowd! Maybe in 15 years I'll go to another parade.

Maya and Kate certainly look like best friends which is lovely to see. You look as though you've been fitting plenty of good times in recently.

I think Americans do parades really well but I'm with you, Emma - I just don't like being in
huge crowds.

If it makes you feel any better I've only attended one July 4 parade in 18 years here. That was last year. And I took a book!

I'm not a big fan of parades either but now I know they throw out salt water taffy I may change my mind.

Wish I could get away with once every 15 years. Since the junior high school and high school marching bands are in the parades, I think I'll have to go to every one of them - that's two a year for the next 11 years!
